A Liniment is alcohol with essential oils, herbs, and/or minerals that you apply to the body or affected areas of the body. Body Tonics are a combination of alcohol and witch hazel with essential oils, herbs, and/or minerals used in the same manner. These methods help to apply essential oils evenly over an area and facilitate rapid absorption into the body.
Add 10- 20 drops of essential oil per ounce of alcohol and apply to the affected area. Do not use oils that are caustic or sensitizing. The use of rubbing alcohol is fine but Vodka is a much better carrier for this application. Body Tonics are usually 50% alcohol and 50% witch hazel.
If sensitivities occur reduce the amount of essential oil or discontinue use.
Shake well before every application.
